How to crop a video
Open your video
Paste a link from RedGifs, xHamster, XVideos or XNXX, or choose a video on your device. Videos on your device are never uploaded.
Place the box
The editor opens in crop mode at 9:16. Pick another shape if you like, drag the box over the part to keep, and use Crop size to zoom in.
Press Done
The preview shows the cropped video. Trim it under Clip if you only want part of it, and choose MP4 or GIF under Output.
Save it
Press Create, check the result and download it. No signup needed.
Which shape?
- 9:16
- Full-screen vertical, for stories and short-video feeds.
- 4:5
- Tall but not full-screen; takes up more of a feed than a square.
- 1:1
- Square; works almost everywhere.
- 16:9
- Wide. Pick it on a wide video to zoom in on part of the picture, or on a vertical one to make it wide.

Is it free?
Yes. No signup and no limit on how many you make.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Videos you choose are never uploaded, and linked videos stream straight from the site they’re on to you.
Will it look sharp?
Cropping keeps only part of the picture, so start from the best quality: choose a larger size and, for linked videos, the editor uses the best-quality version.
Does it keep the sound?
Yes, in MP4 when the video has sound and plays forwards at normal speed.
Which links work?
Single videos from RedGifs, xHamster (including Shorts), XVideos and XNXX. Profile and playlist links don’t.
Is there a watermark?
A small ClipMule mark sits in the bottom-left corner by default. You can switch it off under Output.
